Nila House, Jaipur, is a restored mid-20th-century bungalow reimagined as a space for craft, culture, and community. Designed by Studio Mumbai (Bijoy Jain), the project carefully preserves the original stone structure while introducing traditional materials such as lime plaster and marble.

Organised around a central courtyard, the building accommodates studios, workshops, exhibition spaces, and a library, allowing natural light and ventilation to shape the interiors. The architecture highlights handmade finishes and local craftsmanship, creating calm, tactile spaces that reflect Jaipur’s material heritage.

Today, Nila House functions as a cultural hub supporting natural dyeing, textiles, and artisan-led practices, demonstrating how adaptive reuse can sustain both architecture and craft traditions.
